I have been creating prop newspapers since the very first professional show I worked on after college in 2006.  It was then that I realized how difficult it was to create a prop newspaper, and yet, how valuable it was to know how to create a prop newspaper. 

     I worked for TimeLine Theatre in Chicago, where the vintage newspaper prop became a running theme. Working with little to no budget, I had to make an audience member sitting 5 feet away truly believe it was real.  And I did. 

   When I found out there were audience members asking where TimeLine got the “authentic” newspapers, I was ecstatic. It made me really believe in what I was creating.

    After honing this craft, I started to think there was a good chance others had a similar dilemma with newspaper props and did not have the tools or resources to make them.  So, I decided to put up a website, offering prop paper services to those in need. 

      I have always felt the job of the creating props was usually daunting and often overwhelming. Being able to outsource some of the work could help anyone tasked to create props.
